Mosaic: Building Europe's Unified TV and Video Streaming Platform
,We're happy to announce our involvement in Mosaic, an ambitious R&D project dedicated to creating Europe's first unified streaming platform for multilingual TV and video content.
Working alongside leading broadcasters and research partners like Fincons (Italy), Infalia (Greece), and UAB (Spain), we're supporting the development of a prototype that aims to improve the way European citizens access and consume AV content. The name MOSAIC stands for "Multilingual Multimodal Centralised AI-based Hub for the European Media Content Market" – reflecting our goal of bringing together Europe's diverse media landscape into a cohesive, accessible whole.

The media landscape has transformed dramatically with the rise of global streaming services like Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Netflix. As European broadcasters and producers, we recognize the need to maintain our market presence while reducing dependency on these platforms. DW Innovation's Role in MOSAIC
As in several other projects, DW will take on the role of consultant, co-manager, and evaluator. Our team will provide expertise in the field of multi-language media production and explore how plain X, our home-grown SaaS platform for content adaptation can be connected to MOSAIC. We'll thus bring together two state-of-the-art AI solutions–for best possible subtitling, voice over and dubbing results.
